Knowledge graph

What is a knowledge graph in AI?

A knowledge graph stores information as entities and the relationships between them, rather than as isolated records. People, projects, companies and concepts become nodes; the connections between them become edges you can traverse. The value is in the traversal: a flat store can tell you a fact about a person, while a graph can answer who else is involved, what they worked on together, and which project a decision belongs to. For personal AI, it is what turns a pile of notes into something that understands your world has structure.
