Reconnecting your integration

What to do when your AI tool says authentication is incomplete and asks you to reconnect your Tempreon connection.

If your AI tool reports "Authentication incomplete — please reconnect your Tempreon MCP integration," this page gets you reconnected. It usually takes under a minute.

What "reconnect" means

Connecting Tempreon to an AI tool — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible client — involves two steps that normally happen together:

  1. Authorize — you approve the connection through Tempreon's sign-in (OAuth) screen.
  2. Associate — that authorization gets linked to your Tempreon account.

The reconnect message means step 1 finished but step 2 didn't: the sign-in completed, but the connection was never linked to a Tempreon account. Until it's linked, your AI can reach the connection but has no identity to load context for — so tools return a "reconnect required" error instead of quietly doing nothing.

Fix it in three steps

  1. Disconnect the existing Tempreon connection in your AI tool — remove the Tempreon MCP server or connector from the tool's settings. In Claude, open the connectors (or /mcp) menu and remove Tempreon.
  2. Reauthorize at app.tempreon.com. Sign in to the Tempreon account you want to use first — signing in before you authorize is what links the new connection to your account.
  3. Reconnect Tempreon in your AI tool and re-approve the sign-in. In Claude, that's /mcp → Authenticate for the Tempreon connection.

Then start a new session — context and tools load at the start of a session, not mid-conversation.

Make sure you're signed in first

The most common reason a reconnect doesn't take is authorizing while signed out of Tempreon, or into the wrong account. Before you reauthorize:

  • Open app.tempreon.com and confirm you're logged into the account you want connected.
  • If you have more than one account, sign out and back into the right one.
  • Then run the connect/authorize flow from your AI tool.

Tools don't appear right after connecting?

A freshly added connection can take a moment to attach — the tools don't always show up on the first try. If your AI lists no Tempreon tools at the start of a session:

  • Give it a few seconds and start a new session — the connection often attaches between attempts.
  • Restart your AI tool (quit and reopen the desktop app, or reload the page).
  • Ask your AI: "What Tempreon tools do you have access to?" — if it lists tools, you're connected.
  • Try: "Start my session" to trigger a full context load.

If tools still don't appear after a restart, remove and re-add the connection using the three steps above.

Still stuck?

  • See Bridges for connecting and configuring Tempreon in each AI tool.
  • See Common Issues for other frequent problems.
  • If none of that resolves it, contact support — include which AI tool you're using and the exact error message.
