Overview

Raycast is a launcher for macOS (with an iOS companion app) whose AI features — AI Chat and Quick AI — run models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, and others. It supports MCP servers, including remote HTTP servers with OAuth, so Tempreon plugs in directly.

Once connected, your AI loads your Core Imprint, searches your Knowledge Vault, and remembers what it learns — across every tool. In Raycast, that context is one @-mention away in a window that's always a keystroke away. HTTP is also the transport Raycast supports on iOS, so a hosted Bridge is the kind that works on your phone as well — add it there too, since Raycast documents installation per platform.

Quick path: run the Install MCP Server command → transport HTTP → paste the Tempreon URL → OAuth Type: Dynamic → Install → @-mention @tempreon in AI Chat.

Availability note: MCP is a Raycast Pro feature as of August 2026 — the manual labels its MCP page "Tier: Pro Exclusive" across Mac, Windows, and iOS. Raycast Pro carries a 7-day free trial, and Mac v1/iOS users get 50 free messages to try Raycast AI first. (Earlier in 2026, during the Mac v2/Windows beta, MCP worked without Pro; that beta pricing has ended.) On iOS, HTTP is the transport Raycast supports, so a hosted server like Tempreon is the kind that works there — add it on iOS separately via your account avatar → AI → MCP Servers, since a Desktop install does not carry over.

Prerequisites

  • Raycast on macOS, Windows, or iOS, with Raycast Pro (7-day free trial; MCP is labeled Pro Exclusive as of August 2026)
  • A Tempreon account with at least one available Bridge slot
  • Your Tempreon MCP server URL (also shown in your Bridges dashboard)

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Run the Install MCP Server command

Open Raycast and run the Install MCP Server command.

2. Fill in the form

  • Name: tempreon — this becomes the @-mention handle
  • Transport: HTTP
  • URL:
https://api.tempreon.com/functions/v1/tempreon-mcp/mcp
  • OAuth Type: Dynamic — Tempreon supports dynamic client registration, so no client ID or secret is needed

Click Install.

3. Authorize the connection

Your browser opens with the Tempreon consent screen. Sign in if prompted, review the request, and approve. You'll be returned to Raycast with the server installed.

4. Use it in AI Chat or Quick AI

@-mention @tempreon in AI Chat or Quick AI to bring Tempreon's tools into the conversation. To review, reauthorize, or remove the server later, run the Manage MCP Servers command.

Troubleshooting

@tempreon doesn't autocomplete. Run Manage MCP Servers and confirm the server installed. The @-mention handle matches the name you gave during install.

AI features aren't available. Check your plan first — MCP is Pro-exclusive as of August 2026, and on Mac v1/iOS the 50 free trial messages may be used up. Then check that you're on a supported platform and build, and whether you've hit the request limit for the period.

The OAuth window never appears. Re-run the install, and check pop-up blockers and your OS-level default browser setting.

The connection fails immediately. Confirm the URL ends in /mcp with no trailing slash: https://api.tempreon.com/functions/v1/tempreon-mcp/mcp.

Frequently asked questions

When I add Tempreon to Raycast, what OAuth Type do I choose and how does authorizing work?
In the Install MCP Server form, set OAuth Type to Dynamic — Tempreon supports dynamic client registration, so no client ID or secret is needed. When you click Install, your browser opens the Tempreon consent screen; sign in and approve, and you return to Raycast with the server installed. Because it is a remote HTTP server, it is also the kind Raycast AI supports on iOS — HTTP is the transport iOS uses. Raycast documents install and management with separate Desktop and iOS tabs, so add it on iOS as well rather than expecting it to carry over.
Where in Raycast do I actually add the Tempreon MCP server?
